New customization capabilities help users easily add calendars, videos, polls, instant messaging, RSS, and more for free

Raising the bar for online collaboration, the new features further advance Wetpaint’s commitment to empowering anyone to build free websites and immediately start sharing their passions and interests online.

Since the June 2006 launch of Wetpaint's publishing platform, more than 200,000 Wikis have been created by everyday consumers who are going beyond the “you” of blogs and social networks to connect with groups of “we” to dynamically create collective websites faster and easier than ever before. Wetpaint’s New Customization and Ease-of-Use Capabilities Committed to providing consumers with the easiest end user experience, Wetpaint’s latest release includes the following new capabilities:

Wetpaint Widgets: Users can now enhance their Wetpaint Wikis by incorporating nearly any third-party widget. Additionally, Wetpaint users can add any widget that uses <embed> or <Iframe> code output. • Google Calendar — display and share Google Calendars to keep the community informed of significant dates and events.
• Photobucket Slideshows — create and display an animated slideshow of photos.

Expanded Customization Options: The latest Wetpaint release includes additional customization and ease-of-use features that increase the ways site creators can style and present their sites, including:

• Custom URL domain mapping — allows users to map their Wetpaint Wiki to a new or preexisting custom personal or business web domain (URL).
• Autolinking — a tool that automatically links page contents to relevant associated pages throughout their Wetpaint site.
